Film Bio

As a filmmaker, Atkins' non-narrative short film "The Mirror Found, The Magnet Lost" showcased his distinct vision and artistic prowess, earning him the prestigious 1st Prize for Experimental Video at the Suffolk County Film Festival in NY in 1989.

In the face of the pandemic's challenges, Atkins rediscovered his passion for filmmaking. During this period, he embarked on a creative journey, co-scripting, directing, and editing his remarkable short film "Landing." This extraordinary work garnered widespread recognition, earning Atkins several prestigious awards at various film festivals in 2022.

Atkins's second film, titled "The Market," debuted in 2023 and has since garnered significant acclaim. Since its release, the film has triumphed as the recipient of the prestigious First Place award at multiple film festivals throughout the year. The recognition and accolades received by "The Market" in 2023 stand as a testament to the film's exceptional quality and Atkins's prowess as a filmmaker.

Furthermore, Atkins undertook the task of writing scripts for two noteworthy feature films. The first, titled About Isaac, was completed in 2021, while the second, Wasting Time, was crafted between 2022 and 2023. Both projects are currently in the development phase.

Finally, Atkins's proof-of-concept film for his documentary series Tattoo Stories: Beyond the Ink has been completed and is now seeking distribution.
