Film Bio

Victor Atkins is a Nashville-based writer, director, and editor whose work explores belief, choice, and moral restraint through intimate, character-driven cinema.

His short film Landing marked a return to filmmaking, earning awards including Best Short Film at Reale Film Festival and Night of Drama Shorts, and Best Experimental Short Film at East Coast Awards Festival.

In 2023, Atkins’s short The Market premiered to international recognition, winning Best American Short Film at Rome Movie Awards and Chaplin in Paris Awards, Best Indie Narrative Short at the Sweet Democracy – Billy Wilder Prize, and Best Short Film at the Frida Film Festival.

As a screenwriter, Atkins is the Winner of Best Short Screenplay at the Author Script Awards for Roommates of The Silence, and a two-time Austin Film Festival Quarterfinalist for feature screenplays Becoming Isaac (2025) and Wasting Time (2024).
