Victor Atkins is a Nashville-based writer and director whose work centers on belief, choice, and moral restraint — exploring how ordinary people confront responsibility without certainty. His films favor intimacy over spectacle, ending not in resolution, but in decision.

After returning to filmmaking with Landing, Atkins received Best Short Film honors from Reale Film Festival and Night of Drama Shorts, and Best Experimental Short Film at the East Coast Awards Festival. His short film The Market went on to international recognition, winning Best American Short Film at Rome Movie Awards and Chaplin in Paris Awards, Best Indie Narrative Short at Sweet Democracy (Billy Wilder Prize), and Best Short Film at the Frida Film Festival.

As a screenwriter, Atkins is the Winner of Best Short Screenplay at the Author Script Awards for Roommates of the Silence, and a two-time Austin Film Festival Quarterfinalist for feature screenplays Becoming Isaac (2025) and Wasting Time (2024).
