About Me

Victor Atkins is a multi-talented visual storyteller based in Nashville, TN, specializing in filmmaking, screenwriting, painting, and sculpture. He began his artistic journey in SoHo, Manhattan, from 1970 to 1988, where his work was represented by the Aldrich Museum and the Louis Meisel Gallery. After exploring independent film in New York City from 1987 to 1999, Atkins returned to painting in 2002. His work has since been showcased in various galleries, including those in Philadelphia from 2013 to 2015 and in Los Angeles from 2017 to 2022, solidifying his presence in the contemporary art scene.

As a filmmaker, Atkins has demonstrated his unique storytelling ability through projects such as the award-winning short film "The Mirror Found, The Magnet Lost," which won 1st prize for experimental video at the Suffolk County Film Festival in 1989. Amid the challenges of the pandemic, he rediscovered his passion for cinema, directing and editing the acclaimed short film "Landing," which received multiple festival awards in 2022. His latest work, "The Market," premiered in 2023, earning first-place honors at several film festivals, further showcasing his expertise and creativity across both fine art and film.
